Well loved 'slice of heaven' on Meadow Pond Westport Island. Purchased and cherished by nature lovers, self considered conservatives , passions for hunting, fishing and camping - all Maine traditions for generations. Sunday family nature walks are valued memories of the heirs as are the peace and the so very familiar environment that offered them solace, comfort and deep meaning. They shoulder the responsibility to pass this special community of Westport Island on to the next owners. Photographs and becoming part of the natural surrounding became a passion. A dwelling was always intended but never came to fruition so it is with great pleasure the sellers look forward to someone with the same love of nature and the peace that is found here they will carry forward with selectively building and preserving the area that brought so much peace and joy. The Island is a short distance from Grocery Stores , Hospitals and Schools . The Community of Westport has a very well organized group that can keep those up to date on the area events , the town office , the historical association , fire department and public boat boat launch are near by. Several other boat access areas are in neighboring Wiscasset as are hospitals both east, west and north. Augusta , Bath / Brunswick, Boothbay Harbor, Camden and Rockland are within a short drive as are several state parks , land trusts with trails and beaches.
