About Kathie Hooper

Kathie has been a licensed Realtor® and a top producer for over two decades. She earned the Rookie of the Year award when she first started in real estate in 1996 and hasn’t slowed down since. She is a member of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors®, the Maine Association of Realtors®, and the National Association of Realtors®. 

After purchasing and selling several homes, Kathie pursued a career in real estate because she knew there was a better way to do business.   She enjoys helping buyers with “the hunt” and finding the property that is truly the best “fit”.  She takes time to properly price and market her seller’s homes, and takes great satisfaction from negotiating the best deal for all of her clients.  She often recommends professional staging to her clients and always uses professional photography including drone and Matterport technology, when needed, to best market each and every listing. She has extensive contacts with contractors and can always come up with the right person for the job if her clients are remodeling or just need some simple repairs done.

Kathie is a strong believer of continuing education in real estate.  She holds a number of advanced professional designations and certifications including the coveted CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation which is held by only 4% of agents nationwide.  She is always taking classes to stay up to date on how best to serve her clients.  Her goal is to make the buying or selling process informative, stress free and fun.   She also holds a Master Degree in City Planning from Georgia Tech which often comes in handy when land use or zoning issues crop up.

Kathie is most proud of her family.  She and her husband Kevin raised three children together at their home in Falmouth where they lived for 30 years.  Most recently, they relocated to Brunswick where they are enjoying exploring the Midcoast area.  Her daughter, Casey, holds an Associate Broker license and has worked as her licensed assistant for the past 9 years.  Together they provide the most professional and personalized real estate service possible. They are detailed and diligent in their approach and their clients appreciate that.  

Kathie is a North Carolina native but loves Maine and intends to stay put!  In her non-real estate time, she enjoys painting, drawing, gardening, attending concerts and theatrical productions and decorating.  She is active in the Foreside Garden Club, is a Council Member of the Epilepsy Foundation in Maine and an active volunteer with the Epilepsy Foundation.
